Without precise dosing, critical processes will not deliver the expected outcome. Think about dosing additives, colouring agents, flavouring, aromas or active ingredients into a process. In many processes in the chemical, food/beverage/pharma and analytical markets precise dosing is elementary.

Dosing the right amount at the right time saves the environment, saves money and is a prerequisite for an efficient and effective controlled process with traceable results.

Correct dosing is important, but how exactly does precise dosing work?

FLUIFILL® – The easiest solution for batch dosing

During an auto-setup the instrument will learn and adapt to the process conditions. When ready, a user can easily operate the instrument:

  • dose size
  • allowed timeframe
  • desired accuracy (optional)

Once configured, the instrument will automatically adjust to minor variations in process conditions. FLUIFILL® truly stands out as the simplest solution for batch-dosing.

How can precise dosing be achieved?

Dosing liquids into a process is done differently by different people. One can think of, for example, dispensing a quantity of liquid by means of a jug in a vessel with a mixer, using a dosing pump into a bigger volume or a time/pressure dosing method into a main line.

If the dosing of a liquid needs to be done precisely, automation and checks need to be applied, then measuring and controlling the quantity by using a flow meter with a closed loop control will give the guarantee that the dosed amount is indeed precise.

What is FLUIFILL®, the batch-dosing control feature?

Over the years, Bronkhorst has gained a lot of experience with low-flow dosing solutions. FLUIFILL makes dosing easy, suddenly. A flow instrument with the FLUIFILL feature and connected to a valve or pump is suited for any type of required dosing. In particular batch-dosing becomes stunningly easy.

FLUIFILL enables the user to configure just two parameters and let the flow meter figure out by itself what the correct settings need to be for the flow meter-controlled pump or valve to meet the required specification. Once set, the precise dosing can start!
