Dilution of the sulfuric acid from the delivery concentration to the target concentration is a frequent process step in many industries. This dilution process is a strong exothermic process and requires cooling, therefore the temperature of the acid can change rapidly during this process.
Anton Paar’s high precision H2SO4 Monitor with the density sensor L-Dens 7400 Version Tantalum can easily follow these changes as the wetted parts are made of Tantalum. All plastic-coated sensors are thermally inert and are not able to follow fast temperature changes (e.g. most conductivity sensors).
In addition, the density changes strongly with the sulfuric acid concentration and therefore is the perfect parameter to measure the concentration from 0 to 90 %.
The H2SO4 Monitor of Anton Paar is a maintenance free and cost-effective inline concentration measurement system which takes this measurement with ease.
Thanks to the modularity of the density sensor the measuring system can be easy installed inline or in a bypass system.
The system ensures 24/7 real time concentration measurement, even under the toughest process conditions and with highest precision.
The H2SO4 Monitor comes as a “plug and measure” system. Once integrated into the plant infrastructure, concentration measurement immediately starts.
The monitoring system comes with wetted parts made of Tantalum which is 100% resistance in the whole concentration and temperature range.
